Amy Kenny is a Whitehorse-based writer. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Toronto Metropolitan University and a master of fine arts in creative writing from the University of British Columbia.
Her journalism has been published by National Geographic Book Publishing, Hazlitt, Vice, Walrus, Up Here, Canadian Geographic, Explore, The Hamilton Spectator and Yukon News. In 2016, she was named journalist of the year at the Ontario Newspaper Awards. She has also worked as a reporter and associate producer for CBC Radio.
Her fiction, reviews and poetry have appeared in This Magazine, Room Magazine, The Antigonish Review, The Maynard, Prism, The Humber Literary Review, Freefall, The Feathertale Review and more.
She has written promotional material for the Yukon Arts Centre, and the Recreation and Parks Association of the Yukon. She has also written scripts and web content for Travel Yukon.

Amy also works as a silversmith and leatherworker under the brand AmyKny.
